Rocky Turner, LPR Construction

Rocky Turner is the founder and CEO of LPR Construction, a Colorado-based company specializing in complex steel erection and heavy industrial construction, founded in 1979. Rocky holds a Master’s and Bachelor of Arts degree from Ball State University in Industrial Arts Education. Prior to founding LPR, Rocky taught high school and junior high in Indiana. He’s been recognized as one of Engineering News Record’s 25 Newsmakers for LPR’s development of a fall protection system for steel erection. He served on OSHA’s Steel Erection Negotiated Rulemaking Advisory Committee and contributed to the drafting of a new standard that has dramatically reduced injuries and deaths in the industry. Rocky served as president of the Steel Erectors Safety Association of Colorado for 15 years, and as a board member of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Colorado for more than 3 years. He’s been married for 44 years, and has three sons and six grandchildren.
