Loveland Business Partnership (LBP) Partners with Thompson Career Center (TCC) to Help Connect Students to Jobs in the Local Community

Loveland Business Partnership, Thompson School District, and Thompson Career Center are collaborating to promote work-based learning programs to prepare and place students in jobs with local businesses.

“One of the goals of the Loveland Business Partnership is to provide a bridge between Loveland High Schools, Thompson Career Center, and the local business community. There are numerous skills being taught by Thompson School District that could be enhanced by creating work opportunities for students within the business community. Additionally, Thompson Career Center now mandates that, for a student to graduate, they must have engaged in Work Based Learning. In many cases, local businesses are not even aware that these skills are being taught and that opportunities exist for both the students and employers,” said Rocky Turner, co-founder of LPR Construction.
