Jim Doherty, desk chair workspace

Jim Doherty has been Community Director at desk chair workspace, a coworking community in downtown Loveland, since it opened in 2018. Being a long time resident of Loveland and having over ten years experience with start-up companies, Jim has proven to be a strong asset and advocate for the entrepreneurial community at desk chair. Prior to desk chair, Jim spent nine years in the renewable energy industry, the last six years as Senior Energy Consultant with Tesla/SolarCity. There, he was a top 1% performer in the company and was one of thirty people chosen to start the Small-Medium Business division. Before renewable energy, Jim helped inventors bring their inventions to market, providing sourcing/logistics/pricing expertise and sales placement in some of the world's largest retailers. Jim has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Finance from Colorado State University and a MBA from Thunderbird in Glendale, AZ. Jim and his wife Kelly attend as many concerts of their favorite bands as they can, travel, hike and make time to enjoy their blended family (3 for him and 3 for her)!
