The Loveland Business Partnership and the Loveland Chamber of Commerce teamed up with Thompson School District to host the Business and Work-based Education Summit March 2 for Loveland and Berthoud business owners. This summit included a larger discussion about workforce needs and how businesses can work with the district to ensure that students graduate with necessary skills to meet local job demands. Businesses shared their business wants/needs and thoughts on how education and business can work together to provide valuable opportunities to Loveland students. Thompson School District is taking information from this meeting back to the administration to find out what they can do to create programs within the district, including internships, personalized learning and more.
